In the year 2772 it became necessary to wear a Transporb to get around.  After the long winter that lasted 40 years many major roads have fallen into disrepair.  Transporbs are worn on a person’s back and are used to help repave roads.  When a person needs to travel over rough terrain or roads, they sit in the half of the orb and a forcefield goes up.  As a person goes over the road the ground is rapidly heated and cooled in order to help smooth out and repave the ground.  Good for hills.
